My journey

When I discovered yoga over 20 years ago, it completely changed the course of my life. Initially drawn to the physical aspect of yoga, I loved the movement and rhythm of a strong asana practice. Over time, I realized the immense benefits of meditation and breath work, and I dove headfirst into those more subtle aspects of the practice. I have been on a quest to learn as much as possible about the ways in which my body moves, operates and most importantly, how I feel IN it. Through this practice, I started to create a stronger relationship between my body and my mind. This experience of yoga is what I want to share with you.

My mission

The mission of Kello Yoga is to provide an accessible, uplifting, and transformative yoga experience. I’ve blended the modalities and teachings of yoga that have inspired me on my own journey, and created a style much like a yoga mixtape. In each class, we’ll take an adventure through time and space using breath, movement, and sacred sound vibrations.

My teaching

My classes combine the fluid movement of Vinyasa Flow, the balancing elements of Hatha Yoga, and the transformational power of Kundalini Yoga. You can expect a well-balanced, alignment based practice, integrating plenty of breath work and time for self-reflection. In class, I’ll provide some pragmatic practices to help you create new pathways to explore the deeper dimensions within yourself. My goal is to provide the tools to make you stronger in your body and mind, more compassionate to yourself and to others, and ultimately more connected to your truest self.

I currently reside in Columbus, Ohio with my partner and our black cat, Midnight. When I’m not doing yoga or working on my crafts, you can find me out in nature, in the kitchen cooking healthy meals or curled up with a good book.

If you would like a very special, energizing, calming experience, I would highly recommend Kelly’s Cosmic Flow Kundalini class, live at noon on Sundays. It’s so much more than just exercise.  Kelly gives excellent cues if you are not familiar with kundalini, and it really is for any level.  You will feel the energy flow through your body.  I always have so much energy the following day.  The mantras resonate through your body like nothing I have experienced before.  Kelly explains the meaning of all the movements and how they influence the energy centers in your body.  She really understands the meaning and purpose of this ancient  Kundalini practice.  You will feel uplifted after this class.

Kelly introduced me to the world of Kundalini yoga and I absolutely fell in love with the practice. I appreciate her natural ability to create an inviting environment for EVERYONE at all levels.
